The University of Limpopo (UL) turned all the way up as students celebrated the crowning of Mr and Miss UL and the radiant Miss Thick Madam 2025 with an unforgettable after-party.
The spotlight never left the newly crowned trio as cheers echoed across the venue, honouring their titles in true Turfloop style. MCs Thapelo Rabothata and Stanza Wadi Vibe steered the night with energy, humour, and crowd engagement that kept spirits soaring between performances. The stage lit up with both homegrown talent and national stars.
Mellow & Sleazy ignited the crowd with their explosive set, greeted by thunderous screams the moment the first beat dropped. Students danced, jumped, and waved flashlights in the air, capturing every second of the duo’s electrifying presence.
UL’s own rising stars added their magic too. L-Boy poured raw passion into his performance, while Limpopo Girl and Ernest Serious stunned with high-octane dance routines that had the crowd in a frenzy. The fire didn’t stop there. Mack Eaze, DJ Tshego, Sims Moreng, Rudekid Vend, and Black Myth each brought something unique, from soulful sounds to heavy-hitting beats, ensuring the audience never stopped moving. Students formed dance circles, sang along, and embraced the rhythm in unison.
The night hit its peak when Focalistic, “President ya Straata,” joined by Ch’cco, stormed the stage. Their unmatched chemistry drew deafening screams, and the crowd transformed into a giant choir, singing every lyric as if the campus itself had become one massive music festival.
Closing the spectacle was Kharishma with her full Lekomo performance, a unifying moment that had students shoulder to shoulder, singing word for word. Her commanding stage presence sealed the night with thunderous applause, leaving an imprint that will linger long after the lights faded.
This was more than just an after-party, it was a statement of unity, pride, and celebration. By blending student talent with national powerhouses, the night reminded Turfloop that culture, music, and identity are best honoured together.
