The 20-year-old University of Limpopo student is redefining the fashion narrative with her bold, eclectic style, which seamlessly blends baggy silhouettes and vintage elements. Slender’s sartorial choices are more than just a fashion statement – but a declaration of self-expression, individuality, and empowerment.
Originally from Ga-Sekhukhune Jane Furse RDP, Precious Matuludi (Slender), brings a unique perspective to the fashion world. As a second-year student at the University of Limpopo, pursuing a BA degree in Performing Arts, she has a fervent passion for creative expression and a keen interest in acting.

Precious, finds inspiration in the world around her, often incorporating her mood and personality into her bold fashion choices, “I get inspired by my mood. I dress according to my feelings, I like to mix and match clothes to create something that feels like me. I am the inspiration of myself. I don’t usually get inspired by anyone I like being me.”
In a conversation with Slender , she reveals that her style is a thoughtful fusion of comfort and nostalgia, driven by a deep affection for baggy clothes and vintage elements. These fashion choices serve as a reminder, allowing her to feel fresh and fun in her own skin. With a playful twist, she also incorporates short and long skirts into her wardrobe, further showcasing her eclectic and confident approach to fashion. By embracing this unique blend of styles, Slender Macaroni celebrates her individuality and showcases her personality through her clothing.

When it comes to putting together an outfit, Slender considers three key factors: the occasion, the weather, and most importantly, how she wants to feel when wearing it. She also carefully curates her look to ensure that the colours and pieces harmonize perfectly, resulting in a cohesive and stylish ensemble. Her go-to accessories include waist chains, bracelets, boots, and hats, which she believes add a touch of uniqueness to her outfit and make her feel truly special. These finishing touches are a deliberate choice, elevating her style from great to unforgettable.
When questioned about her bag’s contents, Slender confesses that she has a few non-negotiable items that she never leaves home without. Her trusty sidekicks include a chic bag, phone, keys, tissue, Vaseline, lip gloss, and lip liner. With these must-haves by her side, she feels empowered to take on whatever the day may bring, always confident and prepared.
In Slender’s world, being a vibrant fashion rebel means unapologetically unleashing her creativity and individuality with every outfit. She believes her style is a deliberate manifestation of her values, a bold declaration of self-love and acceptance. She fearlessly forges her own path. Her mantra is simple, “Remember being true to yourself is the most important thing, as long as you’re satisfied with the outcome, that’s all that matters.”
